Honor & Heal:
Pet Loss Therapy Intensive
A 3‑day, 12‑hour individual grief therapy intensive guided by Lifespan Integration—through story, ritual, and steady ground in Renton, WA.
Have you lost a beloved pet—and felt like your entire world kept going while your heart couldn’t catch up?
Are you grieving deeply, but worried no one really understands your pain?
In times like these—when life feels tense, uncertain, and costly—losing a pet can feel like too much to carry alone.
If your grief feels raw, isolating, or invisible—even though your love was everything—you’re not alone. This intensive was made for you.
Why This Loss Hits So Hard—Especially Now
We’re living in a time of uncertainty. The news feels heavy, the world is on edge, and our emotional bandwidth is stretched thin.
For many, pets aren’t “just animals”—they are one of the rare constants in a chaotic world. After a long day, they greet us with joy. In quiet moments, they offer comfort without needing words.
Yet when a pet dies, life doesn’t pause. Few people openly acknowledge that this type of grief is real.
But you feel it—deeply. And you’re not alone in that.
Why This Pet Loss Intensive Matters
The death of a beloved pet can be one of the most heartbreaking experiences of your life.
They weren’t “just animals”—they were family. Steady. Unconditionally loving. Always there.
Yet all too often, pet grief isn’t recognized for the depth of loss it truly is. You may feel unseen, isolated, or unsure how to carry forward.
Grief after losing a pet is real. It may show up as:
• Deep sadness, guilt, or anxiety
• Exhaustion, trouble sleeping, or changes in appetite
• Replaying end-of-life decisions in your mind
When others don’t fully understand your grief, it can feel solitary.
For many, losing a pet means losing one of the most consistent relationships in their daily life. Especially in times when connection feels fragile, that absence lands deep.
The Honor & Heal Pet Loss Therapy Intensive offers a compassionate pause
A 3-day container to honor your pet’s life, sit with your grief, and begin to rebuild a sense of steadiness.
“The bond between a pet and a human is a sacred one, and when a pet is gone, a part of us goes with them.”
— James Herriot
Does This Sound Familiar?
The house feels too quiet. Feeding times, walks, and the spot on your couch echo absence.
You miss the small gestures—the jingling collar, the soft sighs, the gentle nudge to simply “be.”
You keep replaying decisions—vet visits, illness, euthanasia—wondering, “Did I do enough?”
You're not sure what to do with their things. Bowls, toys, leashes… what to hold, what to let rest?
You’ve heard “It was just a pet.” But your grief runs deeper than many realize, and your love was larger than life.
Your pet was your constant. Through days of loneliness, long hours, or unmet hopes—they were always there.
If any of this touches you, you don’t need to “move on.”
You deserve compassionate space to grieve—a place to honor your bond and begin healing with someone who truly sees you.
Why an Intensive Instead of Weekly Pet Loss Counseling?
Weekly grief therapy can be helpful—but sometimes, our pain needs more time, deeper space, and fewer interruptions.
This 3-day intensive is meant for moments when:
• You want to tell your story fully, without being rushed
• You long for dedicated time to grieve and reflect
• Weekly sessions feel too fragmented for where you are right now
• You're in the raw early days of grief and want a supportive container
• You feel stuck and hope for movement in days, not months
In this container, you’ll have space to:
• Lean into your grief, held with care
• Begin crafting rituals that honor your pet’s memory
• Receive gentle nervous system support through Lifespan Integration therapy
While this intensive is focused on pet loss, I also offer grief therapy intensives for other profound losses—such as the loss of a child, spouse, partner, or deeply bonded relationships. If another kind of grief brought you here, you’re not alone, and you’re welcome, too.
Lifespan Integration is a body-based therapy that helps your system recognize that the loss has already happened—so you can begin to feel more grounded, safe, and steady in the present.
Rather than only talking through grief, LI supports your system in integrating what’s missing in a compassionate, embodied way. Many clients describe that process as bringing clarity, relief, and emotional steadiness.
We’ll complete two LI protocols during this intensive.
The combination of narrative, ritual, and nervous system work often creates shifts that weekly therapy may take much longer to reach.
Extended mini-intensives and additional LI sessions can be offered if you’d like deeper support beyond this 3-day container.
Please note: If you are in acute crisis or experiencing significant trauma symptoms, this format might feel overwhelming at first. In that case, starting with weekly or mini intensives (90 minutes or more) can help you build foundational safety for deeper grief work.
This isn’t about “fixing” your grief.
It’s about making space to carry it, because your love was deep—and that deserves respect.
What’s Included in the Honor & Heal Intensive
This grief therapy intensive weaves remembrance rituals, nervous system support, and personalized grief care.
Pre-Intensive Session (90 min):
We’ll explore your loss story, clarify what you need, and introduce grounding practices.
3-Day Intensive (3 hours/day + self-care):
• Morning Therapy: story work, grounding, remembrance ritual, and LI (on days 1 & 3). Includes support with integrating your pet’s belongings.
• Afternoon Self-Care (guided but open): journaling, walking, silence, rest, nature, or gentle nourishment—whatever your heart needs.
Post-Intensive Session (90 min, 2–4 weeks later):
We’ll reflect on shifts, refine your ritual and belongings plan, and orient steps moving forward (in person or online).
What You’ll Leave With
By the end of the Honor & Heal Intensive, you’ll carry forward both inner relief and tangible support:
• A space to tell your story with courage
• A remembrance ritual suited to you
• A plan for caring for your pet’s belongings
• A framework for considering another pet (if and when it feels right)
• Compassionate support for key areas of care—like rest, nourishment, movement, and meaningful connection
This isn’t just about pain easing.
It’s about creating meaning, remembering love, and expanding your capacity to live with grief in a way that feels steadier, more connected, and more alive.
Transformation: Imagine What Healing Could Look Like
Grief will always belong to us. But it doesn’t have to consume us.
Imagine being able to:
• Honor your pet with intentional rituals
• Walk into anniversaries with remembrance, not dread
• Speak your pet’s story with tenderness, not apology
• Hold sadness and gratitude at once, knowing your grief reveals your depth of love
The Honor & Heal Intensive doesn’t end your grief—it gives you room to breathe within it.
To carry love and loss side-by-side, with compassion, steadiness, and grace.
